2tablespoonsminced garlic
1/4cupchopped fresh herbs (e.g., parsley, basil, or thyme)
Instructions
Preparation
In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until it becomes bubbly, about 5 to 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt together. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture along with the olive oil.
Mix everything until a dough begins to form. Sprinkle some flour on a clean surface and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it's smooth.
Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Baking
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
After the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle and spread the minced garlic, fresh herbs, and grated cheese evenly over the dough.
Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log and then twist the ends to create a spiral shape.
Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan and let it rise again for another 30 minutes.
Bake the loaf for 30-35 minutes until it turns golden brown.
Let the bread cool a bit before slicing and serving.
